Auxiliary Rip Fence
Woodpeckers new Auxiliary Rip Fence adds precision, safety, and versatility to your standard table saw rip fence, no matter whether it's brand new or 60 years old. The heavily ribbed extruded aluminum fence is straighter, longer and taller than your standard rip fence. The plywood fence faces found on most modern rip fences are subject to movement from temperature and humidity changes. Even inconsistent pressure on the mounting screws can warp and twist the face. By simply clamping on the Auxiliary Rip Fence, you have a straighter reference for the edge of your material. Plus, the extra length and the included material support hold your workpiece up on either the infeed or outfeed side of the blade…now you can focus on the cut rather than balancing your board. The Auxiliary Rip Fence is secured to your standard fence using precision-machined aluminum clamping blocks and normal track clamps. The combination of the clamping blocks and the fence is precisely 2", which means your fence scale is still usable. Just add 2" to your desired dimension and set your fence. The 7 T-tracks in the fence allow you to reconfigure it in countless ways and easily add featherboards, stops and jigs. Give your table saw fence the face lift it deserves with Woodpeckers new Auxiliary Rip Fence.
Works with Most Table Saw Rip Fences
The Auxiliary Rip Fence is built with our SuperTrack…the foundation of our famous SF-PRO router table fence. At 48" long and over 3-1/2" tall, it's much longer, taller and (most importantly) straighter than your standard table saw fence. You can position the extra length of the Auxiliary Rip Fence exactly where you need it; in front of the blade, behind the blade or split it down the middle…whatever improves the cut quality and your safety. What's more, by simply clamping to the old fence, the Auxiliary Rip Fence fits on virtually any table saw fence ever made…new or old, big or little, top-end or entry level. If for some reason you need to make a cut without the Auxiliary Rip Fence, it takes just seconds to remove, and just the same to put it back on.
With Woodpeckers Auxiliary Rip Fence, you have a fence you can adjust to the job at hand. The standard, high fence setting provides more support when cutting box lids or raised panels. With the low-fence setup, the track lays down flat and sits only 5/8" above the table. Now you can safely make thin rips without interference between your push block and the fence. Raise your Auxiliary Rip Fence above the table and it transforms into an L-fence, allowing you to use your table saw to straighten stock edges faster and more accurately than a jointer. You can even make non-parallel cuts using a template.
Breaking down large sheet goods on your table saw is easier and far more accurate than ever before. The long fence gives you ample fence surface ahead of the blade and the material support provides an extension of the table surface in front of the blade…where you really need it, without putting anything down around your feet. You can also place the material support behind the saw if you don't have the space for a full-blown outfeed table.
Like all Woodpeckers tools, each Auxiliary Rip Fence is precisely machined and carefully inspected in our shop in Strongsville, Ohio (just south of Cleveland).
